Match report
On a blustery arctic morning at North County the U11C's gathered to take on a North County U11C's. Boasting 15 players the near freezing temperatures could not dampen the enthusiasm shown by the next generation of MCC talent. Diarmuid Burke won the toss and elected to field. All players bowled at least an over and showed that the recent Easter Camp had been valuable. MCC took 5 wickets with Oliver Manks 2-1-2-2 the best. Tom Reid 1-0-2-1 and Conor Kennedy 2-0-10-1 who also fielded very well, picked up a wicket each. An effected run out by Sean was the other wicket. North County made 105 for 5 giving MCC a formidable 80 to win. A max of 3 overs per batsman also did not allow batters to get their eye in but giving everyone a chance was MCC preference. Despite some lusty blows were hit by Elliot, Connor and Corey, the final Malahide score was 67 for 9. An easy and well deserved win to North County.
