Match report Disappointment for U11B boys against Phoenix

The U11B boys lost to Phoenix by 12 runs in a rainy, damp match today in Malahide. Put into bat, Phoenix struggled from the beginning and some very tight, accurate bowling and fantastic fielding kept the pressure on. A great catch by Oliver Jeffrey-Carrick, a great team run-out, a great stumping by Cormac Burke and two great overs from Eoghan Keohane (maiden and a wicket-maiden) left Phoenix on 46 for 7 after their 20 overs. However, despite that superb bowling and fielding performance, the Malahide batters lost too many wickets in their innings to finish on 49 for 10, resulting in a loss by 12 runs.
