Match report Another sunny morning saw the und13 girls gatehr to play leinster in the Village. Coming 12 hours after the ladies 1st were well beaten by Leinster the local girls were not too confident. Winning the toss proved to be a good omen. Good line and length as well as great commitment in the field (bruises a plenty tomorrow but Leinster only got 2 boundaries) kept Leinster's score down with the first pair getting to 9 in 3.5 overs when Margaret bowled McLoone with the last ball of the fourth over. The next 3 pairs fared no better and while accumulating 50 runs they lost 6 wickets as Aislinn not only got a wicket with the ball but also 2 run-outs including a direct hit added to Fiona's stumping off Cara's bowling who also got a wicket. The last pair of Diepman and Stokell managed to keep their wickets but steady bowling from Margaret & Naoime meant they only added 13 giving a target score of 74/7.

Fiona left off her impressive game winning North Leinster innings from during the week when she hit 6 4's and herself and Sophie put on 28 for the first pair. Leinster sensed it may be a long morning in the field as first Naoime & Lucy and then Margaret & Aislinn followed by Caoimhe & Niamh kept the run rate ticking over knocking up 59 with only 1 wicket lost between the 3 pairs. Knowing keeping their wickets would seal a win the final pair started very steady but when Hanna was bowled in the 3rd last over they decided no more steady and put bat to ball hitting 22 with Hanna hitting 2 fours off the last 2 balls to seal victory.
With one more game in the league to play the future looks bright for this team.
