Malahide Cricket Club Lost by 78 runs

Match report As always it was a great day playing against are old friends from Bedford Modern School. For the most part the match was played in scorching sunshine and was a great contest. In the end , BMS were too strong for Malahide and a great innings of 63 from the Bedford number 3 put them on the road to a good total of 162 all out. In reply at 67 for 2, Malahide looked well set but when Glen Cosgrove (32) was run out this led to the fall of 4 quick wickets and despite a rearguard action by Riley Shoebridge, Malahide were all out for 84. Earlier Malahide had bowled very well with Conor Gill (3 for 22) and Luke Birrell (3 for 31) being the pick of the bowlers. On a dry and dusty track it was great to see Luke Birrell with his "leggies" and Eoin O'Brien with his offspinners bowling in tandom.
