Match report The Malahide U11B boys comfortably defeated Phoenix at home last Saturday by 15 runs. Final scores were Malahide 110 for 6 versus Phoenix 95 for 6. Malahide batted first, with David O'Halloran reaching the highest score so far this season with 27 runs, ably supported by Ryan Court with 13 and Hugh Joyce with 11 runs. In reply Malahide got a quick wicket through Matt Kavanagh before Phoenix consolidated but great wicketkeeping by Rory Govan and tight bowling from Binyam Keegan and Killian Burke kept their run rate well behind the asking level. Then in the last 8 overs Malahide took control with 5 quick wickets from Ryan, David, Cormac Burke and a first ever wicket for Diarmuid Burke. Well done boys, a good win.
