Match was Abandoned Due to Rain

Match report 5TH XI v Wicklow Abandoned Due to Heavy Rain.
Wicklow County won the toss and chose to bat, The weather held up long enough for David Drane to score 114 not out off 89 balls and for Wicklow to post a very commendable 221. Tea was taken early due to rain delay. In response Malahide struggled to maintain the run rate. Skipper Malcolm Rosbrook struck 72 off 56 balls displaying a fine batting performance. After going off for rain for a third time, it was mutually agreed between both Captains that the Match should be abandoned, both teams had to settle for 10 points each. This match was also the last for 5TH XI Captain Malcolm Rosbrook as he will be moving to Canada, I'm sure you will join me in wishing Malcolm all the best for the future.
Result: Match Abandoned due to Heavy Rain.
