The 2ND XI lost out in a vital scrap today at Oakhill, Winning the toss and batting first Oakhill were slow to put runs on the board. An excellent bowling spell by Glen Kirwan (4-22) set the pace, unfortunatly Malahide were unable to capitalize on this promising start. Angus Hancock (56) and John Fitzsimon resuming his innings after going off injured put together a well compiled 37 Not Out. A vital quick 22 runs from Usman Ghani pushed Oakhill to a final total of 179. Chasing this Malahide were quickly in a hole, losing wickets, Shash Kiran put together 33 in an attempt to add stabilty but an 8 wicket collapse for just 59 runs sent Malahide all out for just 108.
Result: Oakhill win by 71 Runs.
