1st XI Relegated

Batting first Malahide got off to a flier with Finto & Reinhardt going at over 8 an over for the first 6 before Reinhardt chopped on to his stumps. A flurry of quick wickets meant the early momentum was lost and we finished on a some what disappointing 111 after the 20 overs.
Railway's Kenny Carroll played an excellent innings of 45 showing us how to chase down a T20 score by picking off regular singles and the odd boundary. A few half chances of run outs and catches may have resulted in a different ending but the home side eventually chased it down in the 19th over.  A final end of season road trip to Cork on Saturday for the team and the "Ultras" supporters ends what has been a long and disappointing season for the 1st XI.
