The Girls U15 League Final was eventually played on the top pitch at 2pm in front of a good crowd.

Merrion put Malahide into bat and the home side were soon in trouble at 15-3. But opener Ella Caird (31) and Rebekah Moore (35*) put on a fantastic 77 for the 4th wicket. A few more quick runs and extra's brought the villagers to a challenging 101 off their 20 overs.

Malahide got stuck into Merrion's reply quickly and by the 9th over had them 35-5 and on top in the game but L.Paul (37*) had other ideas running singles with a mix of crazy risks and excellent judgement. Supported by A. Cullen she put on 51 for the 6th wicket and a chaotic last 2 overs saw the visitors home with 5 balls to spare.

Hard on the Malahide Girls but won fairly in the end by Merrion
