The 3rds lost out in a high scoring match at Anglesea Road. Batting first, Malahide scored 239 for 5 in their 45 overs based around 93 from Hamish, 47 from Gaz (run out by a headless Kiwi) and a quickfire 33 from Mick O'Brien. However, on a deck that was more of a motorway than a pitch, it was probably always going to be a day to chase and so it proved. With a high quality demonstration of power hitting , Merrion reached the target with almost 10 overs to spare, the Malahide bowling figures are best viewed with the light off !!!
