Hard work and training finally paid off for the girls to record their first win this season. Clontarf won the toss and Malahide batted first. Captain Juliette Evans Garrett opened the batting with a solid 11. Niamh Coleman guided Rebecca Clarke through her first match for MCC and the pair lost no wickets in their exciting innings. Gemma Devally made batting look easy as she made 3 boundaries and a total of 17 runs. Good fielding was crucial in this match and Tegan Devally played a vital role here, letting nothing past her. Ava Breen, Katie Brophy and Beth Deacon all took a number of wickets each. Malahide won by 19 runs taking a total of 9 wickets.
