A Good performance allround from Malahide Ladies 2 team against a very strong Rush Ladies 1sts. Rush won toss and elected to bat. A good opening bowling partnership from Lara and Rebekah restricted Rush early on, helped by 2 early wickets picked up by Lara. Carole McGuire showed her class with very well constructed 74 not out well supported by Laura Carthy(37). Malahide stuck to their task, bowling and fielding well to the end.Rush posted 150 for 3 in the 20 overs. In reply Malahide also lost 2 early wickets but then skippy Sorcha(51no) played some lovely shots and Caoimhe with her fluid strokeplay made a quick 50 to give Malahide a slim chance of reaching the target. Meabh then kept it going with a cameo but the target proved to be just that bit too much as Rush cleverly defended their boundaries.Leaving Malahide 25 runs short with 125 for 4.
