With hopes high from last week's win, the lads went into the game against league leaders Leinster full of confidence.  The toss was won, Daniel elected to bat and he and Wilhelm cautiously protected their wicket for the first few overs.  Daniel went for 10 trying to force the pace, likewise Sam F. and Finn although the bowling was very accurate.  Eoghan then hit the first boundary and the run rate increased.  A few runs at the end from Elliot and Diarmuid, meant the Malahide total was 86; Wilhelm run out on 22 top scored.
The Leinster openers displayed some great maturity in dealing with an opening attack and supportive fielding that, whilst good, needed to be a little bit sharper.  Suffice to say both openers retired and the succeeding batsmen saw the innings to a close. Accurate bowling from Ciaran, Oliver and Christopher with support in the field from Sam H.
