Constant rain, a howling gale, bitterly cold and long wet grass did not deter Sandyford and Malahide 4ths agreed to a T20.
Batting first Sandyford made 124 in their 20 overs. Some fine containing bowling from Stevie Smith and Alex Davies, with skipper Mark Duffy chipping in with three wickets. Excellent glove work from stand in keeper Conor Whelan.
Malahide's reply started well with Brian Gilmore and Chris Long keeping up with the rate but the top order wickets eventually fell and a pizza break interupted at 8 overs. The target turned out to be 10 too many despite a great effort from Conor Whelan (37) and Scott Talbot (15*)
