It's been a very busy week for Schools Cricket in Leinster with the Leprechaun Cup for Primary Schools coming to it's final stages and the Finals of the Leprechaun Cup Super League, The Leinster Schools Junior Cup and The Leinster Schools Senior Cup all taking place.

Leprechaun Cup

St Oliver Plunkett School, Malahide have successfully reached the 4th round of the cup after a comprehensive 80 run victory over Balbriggan ET School. There were a number of outstanding performances by Malahide cricketers including Binyam Keegan (35 ret), SJ De Klerk (29no) and 2 for 10 and Wilhelm De Klerk 3 for 24. In round 4 they will play Balrothery NS who will no doubt be as strong as ever in this competition.

Leprechaun Super League Final

Earlier this week CUS Junior School beat Rush NS by 6 wickets at Sydney Parade . Eoghan Keohane from Malahide CC had a terrific match making 14no with the bat having earlier taken 3/23 with the ball.

On Thursday this week St Andrew's College, Booterstown beat Gonzaga College in a close fought match by 8 runs. With a number of Ireland and Leinster representative players on show, Malahide CC's Riley Shoebridge made a rapid 21no to help St Andrew's set a winning total.

Leinster Schools Senior Cup Final

Earlier in the week, St Andrew's College completed the first half of the "Schools Double" when they successfully retained their Senior School Cup title with a 4 wicket victory over Wesley College at Merrion CC's Ground in Anglesea Road. Cameron and Riley Shoebridge both played crucial roles in the win.

To round off a good week, St Andrew's NS Malahide won the 5th class blitz for Fingal Schools at Malahide CC.
