Clash of styles provided an entertaining spectacle in the annual festive fixture in the Lady Acre. Neat passing was a feature of Mike Shoebridge’s team whereas John O’Halloran’s group mixed it up with the long ball often with devastating effect particularly from set pieces.

Players included four father and son combinations and an age profile that ranged from 15 to 55. Close throughout, Shoebridge’s crew edged home with a narrow victory. The difference perhaps being a hat trick of own goals by one unfortunate braveheart!
