In their last match, the U13B's took on North Kildare. Put into bat, Malahide made a challenging 81-6 in their 20 overs. Good contributions from skipper Ben Askew (25*), Matthew Jeffrey-Carrick (14) and Ciaran Cope (10*).

After great first spells from Christopher Deacon (1-0) and Elliot Manks (1-1), North Kildare recovered but Maria O' Halloran (1-9) and Daniel Reid (0-7) put the breaks on again thanks to some fine ground fielding from Rory Govan, Daniel Murphy, Tony O' Connor, Paul Devine and Ronan Furlong.

At the start of the final over North Kildare needed only 4 to win. Still needing 2 off the final ball, Matthew Jeffrey-Carrick bowled it full and straight and off side fielders completed the run out at the non-strikers end to seal a win for Malahide by 1 run.

An exciting finale and much to look forward to for next season.
