An even younger Malahide Ladies 2 team did well against a more experienced Clontarf 1 side. Batting 1st Malahide posted a total of 103 for 3 wickets off 20 overs. A very steady opening partnership of 54 by Eimear(29) and Meabh Reid(26) was the hightlight. Babs (23no) and very good cameo from Mags(12no) got total 103 for 3. Malahide opened the bowling with Mags and the in form Rebekah Moore. A super catch in the covers by Clara got Malahide an early breakthrough off Rebekahs bowling and with 32 on board Rebekah bowled Laura Cullen. However a 56 partnership between Olivia Golden(44)and Sue Dunphy(20) got Clontarf most of the way home. Sarah Condron and Meabh Reid bowled well but the more experienced Clontarf team came through in end despite a very good team effort from young Malahide Ladies 2 team.
