The 3rd X1 played Nth County 3 at Inch on a perfect Tuesday evening in the YMCA Salver cup. Batting first the new pink ball moved in the air and off the pitch.  Solution - hit it out of Inch as Richard Wing did. Solid batting from Reuben Davies (45) and Richard (30) saw MCC reach a respectable 153/5.  In the second innings MCC stayed focused as a fielding unit and respected the dot ball as much as wickets.  Hamish Manks had th pink ball swerving and cutting until it too ended up in the brush and was replaced.  Pressure mounted as run rate increased and Nths finished 22 runs short.  Semi now await.
