After a week packed with fixtures that has seen some lads playing 6 matches in as many days, Rush were the hosts of the Junior B Team as the week drew to a close.

Losing the toss and being put in first, the opening pair of Aaron Doyle (Retired 26) and Rohit (23) set about building a firm foundation for the team. Oliver Manks (Retired 27) and Mathew Langan (15) speeded up the run-rate in the middle order along with a contribution from Charlie Askew (11) near the end. We finished on a very respectable 148 for 5 after 20 overs.

Rush started quickly and kept on target with the required rate. Their numbers 1, 3 & 4 all scoring in the 20's. But things slowed in their middle order and we took control. Some very economical bowling from our lads including Charlie (2 for 22 off 4) and James Corroon (1 for 9 off 3). Two fantastic catches by Aaron Doyle also. But the match turning bowling performance belonged to Sean Condron with a fabulous 3 overs, 3 wickets for 10 runs. He was close to having another wicket or two also. Well bowled Sean.

Another great team performance all round. There's a fabulous team spirit in this group that is like having an extra man on the field and makes them a pleasure to manage. Still unbeaten in the League with one match still to play.
