Under a chilly sky on the top pitch, the Junior B Boys opened their season against The Hills.

The Hills won the toss and elected to bat first. We restricted them to 114 off 20 overs thanks to some good fielding - four slick catches and two run outs for our lads, plus impressive bowling from James Dickinson of 2 wkts for 3 runs from his 2 overs.

Our batting was equally organised. Retirements from Aaron Doyle (26) and Oliver Manks (25) and a valuable contribution from Mitch Grant (16) enabled us to reach the target in the 18th over for the loss of just four men.

A nice start for the Junior B lads for their short season.
