A long journey to Kilcormac in County Offaly and a first game against up and coming Slieve Bloom.

With rain in the air the game was reduced to 35 overs a side. Malahide won the toss and decide to bat. 

On a mat with inconsistent bounce and a wet and very heavy outfield, runs were hard to come by but openers Brian and Inder stuck to the task putting on 50 for the opening wicket. After that wickets fell a regular intervals but Brian stayed firm and with some valuable support at the end was eventually dismissed for 60 in the penultimate over.

Chasing 132 to win, Slieve Bloom also got off to a good start at 59-1 but enter Inder and Oisin. 5 wickets fell for 8 runs and Malahide were on top. Some good catches and a stumping finished off the home side for 99 all out with Inder finishing on 6-10

Result. Malahide 131-7 beat Slieve Bloom 99-10 by 32 runs
