Lara & Tess in South Africa - update

26 Jan 2017

Tess and Lara are obviously enjoying their cricket time in South Africa. Training starts at 6am in the morning and they train between 4-6 hours a day (with 3 hours one-on-one nets with level 2 and 3 coaches). They also have 3 hours team training which means some days they are at the cricket grounds for 12 hours!  Needless to say, they go to bed at around 9pm exhausted and sun stroked!

The Menlo Park staff and facilities are amazing and they go out of their way for the girls.

They play 3 matches a week, 2 with boys their age and 1 with a women's team. They also do coaching and enjoy that very much.

In Lara's first women's match she batted at number 3 and scored 31* off 24 balls in 29 minutes. She bowled 2 -0-8-0.  Tess was keeper and did great!
