A very young U13A team convincingly defeated a Merrion team that only a week before put up a very strong fight in the plate. 

With Merrion choosing to bat first, wickets fell at regular intervals. Fine, controlled bowling from Diarmuid and Wilhelm set the stage, with great support from Eoghan, Finn, Josh and Mathew.  The latter two lads getting their first wickets at this level. Reliable 'keeping from Daniel kept sundries to a minimum and mature captaincy from Rory also kept the runs down. Good fielding support from Jack, Mitch, Oscar and Alex. 47 runs to win.

Rory's early departure and Eoghan's unfortunate runout caused some concern, however Diarmuid and Wilhelm, followed by Jack saw the team home. Special thanks to the U11 lads : Mitch, Oscar,Mathew, Josh and Alex for stepping up to help the team.
