Pushing fitness levels to new highs, the Taverners played their second T20 game in a week, this time against Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club. The returns of skipper Malcolm Ogilvie (direct hit run out & 13 runs in 7 balls) and stalwart Danny Smith (2-18) contributed in no small part to a “return to winning ways.”

Watched by the next generation (Pat, Conor, Ronan & Mark – thanks for the support) we bowled first. And with sharp fielding, even better catches and 2 run outs limited FLTC to 124.

If anything the batting was classier than the fielding. 4 retirements from the top 4 (Eckstein, Chris, Maurice & Dougie) before Eric & Malcolm saw us home with a few overs to spare.
