The U 11bs welcomed Clontarf on Sunday morning and James McGivern elected as captain put Clontarf into bat. Some excellent bowling was shown by Malahide with Sean Condron (0-2) and Mitch Grant (0-5).  Clontarf put on 81 runs with the lose of only 2 wickets (net 71 runs).  Arron Doyle and Sean Condron opening the batting and put on a very quick 35 runs) (7 fours between them).  At that stage we thought we would get a comfortable win,  Runs were slower to come by for the next 8 overs and 4 wickets were lost.  James Dickinson had some lovely shots adding 11 to the score.  We needed 12 runs over the last 4 overs but again some tight bowling by clontarf made the runs hard to get.  It was down to the last 2 bowls and thankfully Mitch and Rian got us over the line - total runs 99 with the lose of 5 wickets (74 runs).  Great support from parents on both teams.  Well done boys.
