Starting favourites in the Whelan Cup against DIv 8 side Balbriggan 2nds, Malahide 3rds had a fantastic first 20 overs restricting the opposition to 105. Conor Gibbons (4-18) and Inderjit Singh (2-23) were the picked of the home side bowlers. In reply, Malahide never got going against a combination of young energentic and experience dogged bowling and were eventaully bowled out for 89.
