Opting to play to their strengths, Malahide won the toss and bowled against CSCC3 and had them 85-8 at drinks. Spin duo Zak Woods-Oliver (3-30 & 2 great catches) and Ryan Condron (3-30 & only 1 catch but a cracker at that) staring.After drinks, some lusty hitting by Hasan (60 not out) was met by luck lustre fielding, so when Ben Askew (2-16 ) wrapped up the inning Malahide needed 142 to win.

Malahide batted as if they wanted to make their after drinks fielding look good with several carefully guided catches to the field. Indeed without the effort of top scorer Extras (14) the total of 85 all out could have been much worse.
