We are delighted to advise our members and friends that IRELAND will return to the Village for two one-day international series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan next summer.
It was announced by Cricket Ireland this morning that our Club and grounds will host Sri Lanka on Thursday June 16 and Saturday June 18, before Pakistan are the visitors on Thursday August 18 and Saturday August 20.
While Ireland will be looking for a first victory over Sri Lanka, the matches against Pakistan will revive memories of that famous World Cup victory in 2007 and a number of epic encounters since, including a tied match at Clontarf in 2013.
We are delighted to have secured four highly attractive fixtures and we can now look forward to welcoming Sri Lanka, Pakistan and their supporters to the Village next Summer. It's great news for the Club and builds on our successful hosting of ODI's versus England in 2013 and 2015 together with the final stages of the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifying Trophy last July.
