Match report The 4's began a run of three wins in a row with a comfortable 8 wicket win over Longford who won the toss and batted first on the main pitch in the Village. And after that the bowlers did the damage. Particularly young opening seamer Daniel Read bowling with fire - 3 for 21 off 7. And slow off spinner Rajan Chandi who launches his slowies with tantalisingly skill - 1 for 19 off 8. And the outstanding right arm seamer Vikas Gulati - 8 overs, 5 maidens (in a row), 6 runs, 1 wicket . The Midlanders were reduced to 81 for 8 after 26 overs but held on to near bat out the overs scoring 113 off 39.1. Karthik chipped in with 2 for 16.

In reply Malahide went about their business methodically. Marv Russell 14, Shamil Kootembeth 20 and evergreen opener Brian Gilmore nursing a red inker with 26*. However, the talented all rounder Gulati made short work and despatched Longford to all corners in his knock of 48*. MCC win by 8 wickets in 21 overs.
