End of season friendly with our nearest neighbours Swords CC, Division 8 champions.   Malahide comprised mainly of 3rds and 4ths batted first in the Lady Acre in an overcast drizzle.  30 overs a side.    Brian Gilmore 30 and Gary Stewart dealt with the early swing and built an opening partnership of 72.  Stewart, finding his form, stroked an impressive 55.   Teenage Camron Calder batting at 6 thumped 44 in no time including three sixes.  Malahide 180 for 7 in 30 overs. 

Swords lost 2 early wickets in reply.  Glenn Kirwan and Suhaib Naseem with one a piece.  However, the Nair brothers, Shiju 89* and Sreekanth 52* quickly got into their stride and took the game away with some fierce hitting.  There was quite a bit of spillage in the field but conditions were unhelpful.  Swords won by 7 wickets in 26.4 overs.
