A very windy top pitch was the venue for the first Junior B girls match against Leinster. Malahide chose to field first and did so brilliantly, keeping the runs to a minimum with excellent fielding and bowling. Wickets went to Elena Brady 1 for 5 and a catch, Kate McKenna bowled 2 for 2 and caught 1, Chloe Bryan 2 for 5 and one each for Maya Chalasani and Sasha Kennedy. The girls continued their form while batting, the first pair of Maya Chalasani (21) and Teagan Devally (7) almost catching the total in the first four overs. Great batting from Kate McKenna(16) which included 3 boundaries made sure that Malahide won well.
