Match report 3RD XI Slip up at Mullingar

On a wet day, Malahide won the toss and chose to bat in this reduced overs match. Reduced to 40 overs Malahide batted extremely well with Alan Reynolds top scoring with 61 off 38 balls. Added to this Hamish Manks (34) put in a Captains innings with 34 and was supported well by Jackson Santosh (32). Malahide set a strong target of 241 to win off 40 Overs. In response Mullingar set off scoring runs at a very high rate of speed and as conditions deteriorated bowling became much more difficult for Malahide and with that Mind Mullingar quickly reached their target with R. Ejaz (135) top scoring for the hosts, assisted by W.O'Neill(46) the pair put up a 229 run partnership. All in all a miserable day for all concerned.
Result: Mullingar win by 8 Wickets.
